There are regular train services between London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour (1hr 40mins).  Change at Portsmouth Harbour and take the Wightlink FastCat passenger ferry direct from Portsmouth Harbour station to Ryde Pier Head (22mins).

For ease, you can book your train tickets in advance from London Waterloo to Ryde Pier Head as this will include your FastCat ferry ticket.  This will cost around £72.20 for an off-peak open return (if you use a Network Railcard it will be around £47.65) Book online at www.thetrainline.com

Alternatively, you can get your off-peak open return train ticket to Portsmouth Harbour or Portsmouth & Southsea, and get a separate discounted ticket for the FastCat or Hovercraft using the discount codes and instructions below.
